Lauren Burke, PA-C

Originally from Asheville, NC, Lauren earned her bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. After graduation, she worked as a medical assistant and dermatology technician in the Triangle area, gaining hands-on experience in patient care and discovering her passion for dermatology. She went on to complete both a Master of Science in Public Health and a Master of Physician Assistant Practice at Campbell University in Buies Creek, NC. Lauren has always had a keen interest in microbiology and worked in research labs at both UNC Chapel Hill and Campbell while pursuing her degrees. During her studies at Campbell, she participated in public health mission work in Ghana, Africa, and partnered with local churches in the Clinton area to address vaccine hesitancy. She also helped organize and participate in health fairs at the Coharie Tribal Center. A clinical rotation in Clinton showed her what a special community this is, and she is thrilled to return to serve patients here.

As a provider, Lauren loves getting to know her patients and making them feel comfortable and informed about their care. She believes in a collaborative approach, emphasizing shared decision-making so patients can feel confident and empowered in choosing the treatments that work best for them.

Outside the office, she and her husband can usually be found hiking, playing pickleball, tossing frisbees with their border collie, or snuggling with their cat. She’s also a big fan of Carolina basketball.
